Here Lie Joy, Enamored

Oh, these mountains. These mountains are enamoring me in every way. They are too titanic to be put into words. They just simply will not fit.
Today, we made the short drive to the base of Mt. Alyeska and took a window-walled tram up the over 2,000 foot accent. From there, the mountains extended in all directions and all heights. The number of such monsters was astounding. Here, the snow we had seen from afar could be touched and it made my heart glad. We spent quite some time up at that top of the world, just drinking it all in and savoring each taste. About four o'clock, we drove into Anchorage for groceries, stopping many times on the way to snap shots of waterfalls and wildflowers and beaches, and came home to the cabin to fix a meal of fish tacos with vinaigrette slaw and a fresh fruit salad. It was a happy day.
